Ryan Mead is an 18 year old Australian country musician / guitarist and live performer. While his passion is for upbeat honky tonk/ modern American country style music, he brings his larrikin styling to a wide performance repertoire covering country/ rock, blues and folk music. He covers modern artists like Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Cody Johnson and Midland, yet seamlessly transitions to classics from Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and George Strait.

​Ryan is a NSW Talent Development Project graduate and a HSC Encore nominee. He is currently based in Boston, USA where he is completing a Bachelor of Music degree at Berklee College of Music. 

Whether performing solo acoustically, or with a full band behind him, Ryan brings an energy and enthusiasm to his performance that makes you fall in love with Country music all over again.

Ryan's debut single - Tangled Up In Wranglers - was released on Thursday 29 February 2024. 

It's a nostalgic tune that seamlessly blends tradition with a modern flair, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in the timeless sound of honky-tonk ballads. With twangy guitars and heartfelt lyrics, the single captures the essence of classic country storytelling.

STUDYING AT BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC

Ryan recently made the move to Boston, USA, where he will be based for the foreseeable future as he completes his studies at Berklee College of Music. 

While based in Boston, keep an eye out for upcoming shows as Ryan continues to perform locally.

Live Country Music in the Sydney CBD

Jolenes Sydney, a Nashville Inspired Country & Western Bar is THE place in the Sydney CBD to see live country music.

After a successful stint at Jolene's from February - April 2024, before moving to the USA, Ryan will be returning to Jolenes when he's back in Sydney for Christmas - for 2 shows only!
